AirPods are lightweight headphones that have been optimized for a snug fit. Headphones are positioned at the optimal angle for maximum comfort and best sound. Their leg has become 33% shorter than the AirPods (2nd generation), and the pressure sensor built into it allows you to control music playback and calls.
Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking
When you listen to music or watch movies and TV shows, this technology creates a truly vibrant 3D sound experience. AirPods' built-in gyroscopes and accelerometers track your head movements, putting you in the middle of the action.¹
Adaptive EQ
The sound parameters of the music are automatically adjusted to the geometry of your ear. Inward-facing microphones measure the characteristics of the sound you hear. Based on the received data, low and mid frequencies are corrected so that you hear all the richness of musical shades.
Even longer without recharging
The new AirPods offer up to an hour more battery life than the second generation model, with up to 6 hours of listening time² and up to 4 hours of talk time.⁵ Just five minutes of charging is enough for about an additional hour of listening to music⁶ or talking on the phone through headphones⁷. And with a recharge in the MagSafe case, you can listen to music for up to 30 hours straight. The case itself can be recharged using a variety of chargers - wireless and MagSafe.⁸
Sweat and water resistant
Both the AirPods themselves and the MagSafe charging case are water resistant and IPX4 rated, so you can use them in the rain and during intense workouts.³
Magic in everything
No set-up required: just remove the earbuds from the case and they are ready to go. And automatically switch between your Apple devices. Thanks to position recognition, the headphones can distinguish whether they are in the ears or on any surface. The "Announce notifications with Siri" feature allows you to listen to incoming notifications through AirPods. And Audio Sharing lets you listen to music or watch a series with a friend via two pairs of AirPods.⁴
