iPad Pro 11 is completely new, completely unique

Have you ever worked with an iPad? If the answer is "Yes", then forget about it. The new iPad Pro will show you how much familiar things can change. Even the screen can no longer be called ordinary. What has changed, and what has remained as it was - now I will tell you about everything!

Liquid Retina

The new iPad Pro 11 got an edge-to-edge display that's just magical. When you take it in your hands, it feels like you took only the screen. You can use this screen in any orientation, vertically for viewing Twitter feeds, and horizontally for YouTube.

The new version of the matrix was called Liquid Retina. Why is that? It is the best IPS panel on the market with perfect color reproduction, contrast, brightness and color saturation. The screen received softened corners and looks like on the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max.

On the screen of the new iPad Pro 11" it is ideal to use gestures, which are partially taken from the iPhone X and new models. Navigating through the programs is now much easier and faster. Pinch to Zoom is just the "tip of the iceberg" when using iOS 12 on it. Any work will be run several times faster on the new iPad.

In short, the advantages of the new screen will be:

  • True Tone Technology
  • Rounding the screen, making it appear borderless
  • Phenomenal expansion of 2388 × 1668 pixels
  • P3 color range
  • Brightness 600 cd.

FaceID now recognizes you on iPad

We have lived up to the moment when FaceID began to be used not only in the iPhone Xs, Xs Max and future updates, but also in the iPad Pro! It remains only to install it in the MacBook. The main advantage of the sensor is the work in horizontal and vertical mode, high speed compared to the iPhone X through the Apple A12X Bionic, but more on that later.

FaceID can be used not only to unlock the iPad, but also to pay for purchases on the Internet and the AppStore, payments on sites - an ideal level of security.

More cores, more megahertz

Standard practice is to increase the number of cores, megahertz, RAM every year. This time, the iPad "jumped over its head." On board this "baby" is installed a powerful, at the moment, mobile processor Apple A12X Bionic. It is built on 64-bit architecture and uses Neural Engine technology to train neural networks. To help the A12X, the M12 coprocessor is installed, which is responsible for processing motion and position sensors. All this is designed to optimize and improve battery life.

We are assured that with the help of the new GPU, the power has increased by 2 times, and the speed of graphics processing by 1000 times. What will happen in practice - we will test (and yes, there are a lot of dashes here).

It happens that we need to "keep" programs open, and with multitasking technology you can work in two programs at the same time. This requires RAM, which is never enough. So, it's 4GB here. I can't say it's a lot, it's enough. The 1TB version already has 6GB of RAM installed.

By the way, about permanent memory, not operational. If last year the volume of 512GB was given out as something of the kind "and WELL ?!", now I can say that in 2018 a tablet PC has 1TB Flash NAND installed. Bravo, 1TB. The base MacBook Air has 128GB installed, but here it is almost 10 times more ...

USB Type-C

Now you can forget about Lightning on iPad. Forget about all the inconvenience that was associated with it. On the iPad Pro 11, there is now only one connector into which you can connect something - USB Type-C. And you can connect anything to it. Cameras, camcorders, dongles, keyboards and mice (hopefully), TV remote control (if you have one) and much, much more, since USB Type-C is now everywhere.

New Peripherals

iPad Pro has always been and remains a professional tool. What makes it professional? Technical features, power and peripherals, and most of all - Apple Pencil. A separate description of the latter will be in the corresponding section, but I will say that Pencil can now be attached to the iPad Pro case using magnets. There are more than 100 of them in the iPad case.

Worth it or not?

If the iPhone Xs was unrealistic to say that it is a completely new device, then the iPad Pro 11 inch model can be said to be a completely new iPad. You haven't seen this yet. One look at his screen and you are already in line for him. We take it, definitely!
