iPhone 7 - a new look at its predecessors

The question may arise: "Why such a name?". It's simple, the iPhone 7 can be called the iPhone 6ss in a different way. There are not many changes in it, but they are significant. Noticeable changes in the case, technologies, colors and internal stuffing. Now let's really understand whether the novelty is worthy of a new number in the name, and whether it is generally worth buying the iPhone 7.

Fixed Screen

The screen size is still 4.7" (as in versions 6s and 6). The extension has also not changed - 1334 x 750 pixels, the number of dots per inch is 326. This screen size and format is enough to meet the needs of most users. It can be considered golden standard in the world of smartphones for 2016 - 2017. Nothing more, just a good screen.

Separately, you need to highlight the dynamic range, which was expanded. At the same time, the colors became more saturated and bright (by 25%). Black color remained pure black. This is not surprising, since the screens of Apple smartphones have always been on the level.

The previous technology in the form of 3D Touch also has not disappeared anywhere, everything is in its place. Whether it is useful is up to you. The only remark that I had was the need for OLED matrices, since they are more economical and allow the phone to "live" longer.

Body and ergonomics

The aluminum alloy remains the same as the new iPhone 6s / iPhone 6s Plus (7000 series). This is a durable and reliable material. The color scheme has changed. Space Gray has left us, instead of it there is now a version of Black and Jet Black. The first is practical and beautiful black (matte). The second is a glossy black that grabs all the looks. Silver, Gold and Rose Gold remained the same. Six months later, the color iPhone PRODUCT (RED) was added, which looks very interesting and immediately stands out.

The bands that separate the antennas have moved up and down from their predecessors. This should have been done for a long time. The camera eye has become larger, due to this, the covers are no longer suitable.

It is worth saying a few words about the "HOME" button, it is now not touch-sensitive, which reduces the risk of breakage. The "click" sensation is created by the Taptic Engine vibration motor. It can be customized. In general, we can only say that there were no critical changes, only minor changes.

And under the hood

Apple phones have never had speed issues. iPhone 7 is no exception. The Apple A10 Fusion is working inside. This is a 4-core solution with a frequency of 2.36Ghz. When saving all programs in RAM, it corresponds to 2GB. This is enough for fast and reliable operation of all programs, games and everything else.

Compared to the iPhone 6s, you might get the impression that the speed has increased only in tests, but with each iOS update, the difference will be significant. Regarding permanent memory, the situation here is as follows: 32GB / 128GB / 256GB (versions 128 and 256 are available in Jet Black and RED colors).

The camera is now “top”

She used to be top. The iPhone camera is considered the best due to the fact that it is enough just to take a photo and it will be at the highest level. The quality has not changed much compared to the 6s, but the aperture has increased to 1.8, so the photos in the evening will look much better. The resolution of the matrix has not changed, it is 12MP. I can say that the iPhone has one of the best cameras on the market, which allows you to take clear and high-quality pictures without additional settings.

What are other news?

The plus side is moisture protection. In my opinion, every phone in 2016 should be at least IP67 water resistant. Stereo sound. It's also a good plus if you're browsing your favorite YouTube without headphones, or having fun with your favorite game. This is not critical, but it is better when this function is present. The lack of a 3.5 mm jack is a significant disadvantage, but it will allow you to switch to Bluetooth headphones that make life easier.
