The company is positioning the new Apple Watch Series 3 as a replacement for the second series. Of course, visually they are almost impossible to distinguish from each other. Only the version with the LTE module stands out - it has a red dot on the scroll wheel. The number of available case versions and the variety of straps does not decrease. The watch is still available in aluminum, steel and ceramic cases. Straps and bracelets can be found for every taste - both original from Apple, and from Nike and Hermes.

Design

For those who have seen the Apple Watch for the first time, it is obvious that the design has remained the same as previous models. The case and the strap, even despite their massiveness, do not bring any discomfort to the owner, and in general they are practically not felt on the hand. Tactile sensations from the watch are undoubtedly pleasant.

Display and control

Apple Watch Series 3 boasts a vibrant touch screen and two physical controls - a button and a Digital Crown - that have remained in the same place since. For convenience, the screen rotation function is available - you can easily wear the watch on both the left and right hand. The display in the Apple Watch Series 3 is the same as its predecessors - the touchscreen with an OLED matrix is covered with Ion-X protective glass. The resolution is 312x390 pixels in 42 mm models and 272x340 pixels in 38 mm models. The inner side also remained unchanged, the same heart rate sensor, two buttons for fastening the strap and then magnetic charging.

Functionality

WatchOS has already reached the fourth iteration. Although the latest update did not bring any major changes, the company claims that in general, the third series is 70% faster. In general, several new watch faces have been added, the Apple Music application has been updated, the Workout application has received not only a new design, but also the ability to connect via NFC with exercise equipment. The application for measuring the heartbeat has also been improved - now the watch pays attention to arrhythmia, high blood pressure and the transition to a state of rest.

Waterproof

The water resistance level of the watch (5 ATM) allows you to swim in the watch, but it will not withstand diving. The two openings for the microphones and speaker are the only places where water can get in. But thanks to a special function, which is located in the quick menu, the watch can "spit out" the water.
